Keep the Tank Full to Avoid Problems with Fuel Lines

Gas prices keep fluctuating, and it may be very tempting to fill up less often to save money, but you may actually be doing yourself a disservice. Keeping the tank full will help your gas mileage and keep condensation from forming inside the walls of the tank.

Moisture inside the tank causes rust, and water vapor in the fuel lines can cause problems with your engine. For the best performance during winter keep your tank topped off at all times. You'll get better gas mileage and won't have to worry about running out of gas on the side of the road somewhere because you let the fuel level go too low.

Many drivers will disagree with this and probably do this all the time without any problem, but they could be damaging their vehicle without realizing it. The fuel pump needs to have liquid flowing through the lines to keep things lubricated and reduce wear and tear on the system.
