The Fast and Furios movies may not be winning Oscars left and right, but they do know how to show off an incredible lineup of really amazing cars.  If you're a fan of the franchise, then you know that they're packed with so many muscle cars and rare speedsters that it seems like a tremendous shame that so many of them end up exploding or being smashed to bits in a crash.  However, a few vehicles from the sixth and most recent installment survived filming, and two happen to be some of our favorite Dodge vehicles: the Dodge Challenger SRT and Charger SRT.

Here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Roseburg we were a little shocked to hear that Fast and Furious 6 went through somewhere between 300 and 400 cars during filming and only nine were left standing.

Most cars used in the blockbuster are fixer-uppers that Dennis McCarthy, the man in charge of getting each souped-up ride ready for the big screen, finds in newspapers and shady listings on the internet, but this specific Challenger was a new edition and only needed a few adjustments to be action-ready, including a giant emergency brake for on-spot drifting.  The Charger needed a few more adjustments, including a winch on the back that we're sure lent itself to a thrilling scene.

We're just relieved to hear that these great cars made it through unscathed.

While most of the new and used Dodge cars on our lot aren't used in chase scenes, they sure are fun to drive, and we invite you to come by our 1600 NE Airport Rd (DA8849) Roseburg, OR 97470 location and take one out for a spin today.
